Fun Lunch Programs

Once a month from October to June, the Willows PAC is pleased to bring in lunch for participating Willows students.

 

We strive to offer healthy options according to Guidelines for Food & Beverage Sales in B.C. Schools; produce zero landfill waste; and build a strong and supportive school community.

PIZZA

Our pizzeria is Hothouse Pizza.  Hothouse Pizza is pleased to offer a nut-free kitchen as well as gluten-free or dairy-free options. Topping options are cheese, pepperoni, or ham & pineapple. Crust options are original crust, gluten-free crust (has dairy), or whole wheat thin crust (dairy-free). Cheese options are regular cheese or daiya cheese (dairy-free). Slices are ⅙ of a whole pizza which is quite sizable and individually packaged.

 

FRESH FRUIT

Half your plate should be vegetables and fruit according to Canada’s Food Guide, so each pizza slice will be accompanied by a whole piece of fruit (e.g. a banana or mandarin). 

 

DRINK

White milk (2%) may be purchased. We recommend that students always bring water in a refillable bottle to drink with lunch at school.

ORDERING

All orders should be done online to ensure accuracy and to make the process as easy for everyone as possible. Here’s how to get started…

 
  1. Go to willows.hotlunches.net

  2. You must register a new account each year. The Access Code you will need is WHL

  3. Complete the registration form.  

  4. Follow the instructions on the Welcome page.

  5. Add students to your profile. 

  6. Save time by making your PAC contribution with your child(ren)'s lunch order (optional).

  7. Proceed to order hot lunch for your child(ren). If you are a parent who consistently volunteers to distribute lunch in your child’s class, you might want to consider ordering a slice of pizza for yourself and/or a younger sibling as well. Just add yourself as a “student” to your child’s class and order as usual. Note: if you have more than one student at the school, please place all of their orders first and then pay for them in one payment to reduce transaction costs.

 

PAYMENT

If you are interested in participating you must include payment for all lunch days. Unpaid orders will not be fulfilled. We accept hot lunch order payments through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to order online through PayPal. You can pay as a PayPal guest with any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). PayPal is the preferred method of payment as it saves PAC volunteers hours of time in handling cheques and cash. Financial Consideration: the PAC and Willows School will provide for families with limited means.  Please contact the school office in confidence for more information. This information is kept private.

 

DEADLINE

Orders must be submitted by Thursday, October 14, 2021.  Don’t delay, order right now. Food and beverage orders must be sent no later than 1 week in advance to our suppliers.
