Volunteer Appreciation Coffee - All Welcome! Wed June 19th 8:30-9:15 a.m. K/1 side
This Wednesday morning just before and after drop-off (8:30-9:15 a.m.), June 19th, please join us in the K/1 area for a coffee and treats in celebrating our PAC volunteers!!!
Thank you to all that have volunteered for roles big and small - each and every contribution has been a gift to our school community and we couldn't have had such a great year without you!

Parent Volunteers Needed for Willows Staff Appreciation Luncheon Fri Jun 28
On June 28 (Last Day of School - Pro-D Day!), the PAC hosts an Appreciation Luncheon for all Willows teachers and staff. The PAC will provide a main course and we invite families to contribute a favourite dish or flowers from your garden. If you wish to participate, this is a lovely way to share food from your cultural and family traditions with our school community. Willows celebrated Spring GoByBikeWeek during weeks of May 27-31 and June 3-9, 2024! Thank you Parent Volunteers for leading the bike trains on Fri June 7 from Allenby Part and Oak Bay Marina and BIG THANK YOU to Oak Bay Police for assisting with traffic control and ensuring safety for our riders. Parent Education Night on Diversity and Inclusion in Disability in School with speakers Alycia Garcia and Karen Lai, moderated by Willows parent Alejandra Hergert was held on Tues May 28, 2024 7:00 - 8:15 PM
on Zoom (thanks to VCPAC!). If you missed it, you can watch the recording of the presentations here. Karen and Alycia are highly recommended speakers and passionate on the topic as both have living experience with disability.

Blossom Tree Festival featured bouncy castles, a maze, and obstacle courses on the Cadboro Bay field and DJ Daddy Mack in the gym on Friday May 24th from 4-7pm. Willows PAC was pleased to raise awareness about CureMPS with tshirt sales and raised $415 for CureMPS with donations in exchange for bonus Blossom Tree Festival tickets. You can still Donate to CureMPS.

HUGE THANK YOU to all you parents who volunteered your time, energy and smiles to making a happy time for Willows students and families! Food servers dished out almost 500 hot dogs and as many concessions items. Bouncy Commanders supervised over 2000 safe and fun rides on the inflatables. We couldn’t run an event like this without amazing parent volunteers like you! We appreciate you so much for showing up for the kids and building a great school community! Thank You!!!

FAQ:
Q: If I sign up online, will I get a hard-copy ticket?
A: No. We will have a list at the door of everyone who signs up online (saving paper!)
Q: Will there be admission at the door?
A: Yes. If space allows. Due to fire regulations, we have capped online admission for each time block (5pm and 6:30pm) so that those who show up at the door should be able to get in.
Q: How do I pay for admission?
A: Admission is free. Cash donation will be accepted. All are welcome.
Q: Will there be food or drinks for sale?
A: Concessions items will be sold $1/item. However, please bring your own water bottle.
