From September to June, the Willows PAC is pleased to bring in lunch for participating Willows students. We strive to offer healthy options according to Guidelines for Food & Beverage Sales in B.C. Schools; produce zero landfill waste; and build a strong and supportive school community.

PIZZA

Our pizzeria is Hothouse Pizza.  Topping options are cheese, pepperoni, or ham & pineapple - all on original crust. Slices are ⅙ of a whole pizza, which is quite sizable.

 

SUSHI

Our sushi supplier is Machi Sushi. They are pleased to offer your choice of Cucumber Rolls (gluten free), Yam Rolls, Avocado Rolls (gluten free) and California Rolls.

 

CHARELLI’S

Charelli’s will be offering Mac and Cheese, Tomato Soup (gluten and dairy free) and grilled cheese on whole wheat bread.

 

BOOSTER JUICE

Booster Juice is offering a 240ml fruit smoothie in two different flavours. 

 

ZERO WASTE PROGRAM

In an effort to produce minimal waste, we have requested that the suppliers limit disposable items. Please send a reusable Fork, Spoon or Chopsticks, should your child require them.

 

ORDERING

All orders should be done online to ensure accuracy and to make the process as easy for everyone as possible.

Here’s how to get started:

 

1. Go to willows.hotlunches.net

2. You must register a new account each school year. The Access Code is WHL

3. Complete the registration form  

4. Follow the instructions on the Welcome Page

5. Add students to your profile

6. Proceed to order hot lunch for your child(ren). If you are a parent or guardian who consistently volunteers to distribute lunch in your child’s class, you might want to consider ordering a slice of pizza for yourself and/or a younger sibling as well. Just add yourself as a “student” to your child’s class and order as usual. Note: if you have more than one student at the school, place all of their orders first and then pay for them in one payment to reduce transaction costs for us.

 

PAYMENT

If you are interested in participating, payment must be completed for all lunch days. Unpaid orders will not be fulfilled. We accept hot lunch order payments through Bambora with any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). This is the preferred method of payment as it saves PAC volunteers hours of time in handling cheques and cash. For cheque or cash payment, please contact the Fun Lunch team willowsfunlunch@gmail.com to make arrangements.

 

Financial Consideration: the PAC and Willows School will provide for families with limited means.  Please contact the school office in confidence for more information. This information is kept private.

 

DEADLINE

Orders for the first lunch must be submitted by Sunday, September 17, 2023.  If it’s convenient for you make your orders for the whole year that way you don’t forget. The rest of the orders are due 10 days before the next Fun Lunch. Don’t delay, order right now. Food and beverage orders must be sent no later than 10 days in advance to our suppliers.

Please note: If your child is sick on a fun lunch date, please let us know by 9am if you would like to come and pick up their lunch. Otherwise consider it a donation for a child who doesn’t have a lunch.
