The South Oak Bay Train will leave Monterey Middle School at 8:20AM and Firefighter's Park at 8:30AM. Click here for a map of the South Route. The North Oak Bay Train will leave Allenby Park at 8:20AM and Carnarvon Park at 8:30AM Click here for a map of the North Route. Both trains will arrive well in time for the 8:50AM bell. Please arrive at the starting place on time! The train will leave promptly.
Being active builds healthy bones and minds! Biking, scooting or walking to school is a great way to be healthy and keep moving. It also offers the following benefits:
- Increased alertness in the classroom
- Opportunity to connect with family and/or friends on the way without distractions
- Allows children and families to get to know their community and neighbourhood
- Decreases the number of vehicles on the road
In 2017, the CRD worked with the Willows School Community to create a BEST ROUTES to SCHOOL map:
Note the Drive to 5 zones on the Map: You can park in these areas, stretch your legs and relieve traffic congestion around the school by parking or dropping off at least 5 minutes from the school.
After two years with no PAC sponsored events, we are so pleased to announce the Willow's PAC Blossom Tree Festival on Thursday May 19th, from 5-7pm, at Willows School.
We cannot hold the festival without volunteer support! Specifically, we are looking for help with set up and take down (1 hour) and supervising and running the activities (1/2 hour time slots). We also welcome responsible older siblings volunteering in certain capacities. If you are able, please sign up HERE to help pull this event off for our wonderful school community!
Thanks in advance! We are so excited to see you all next week!
Warmly,
Willows PAC Events Team
